Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all payments made through the Durosport Play platform operated by DC Sports Infrastructure (“Durosport”, “we”, “us”). All payments are processed through Cashfree Payments, a Reserve Bank of India (RBI) authorised Payment Aggregator.

This policy is published in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and the requirements of our payment gateway partners and the Google Play Store.

1. Types of Payments

The Durosport Play platform processes the following types of payments:

2. Academy Subscription Refunds

2.1 Free Trial Period

If we offer a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, no charge will be made. After the trial converts to a paid subscription, the standard refund policy below applies.

2.2 Monthly Subscriptions

  • You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from the billing section of your Admin dashboard.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will continue to have access until that date.
  • No pro-rata refunds are provided for the remaining days of a monthly billing cycle after cancellation.
  • Exception: If you cancel within 7 days of your first paid subscription (not a trial-to-paid conversion), you may request a full refund. This applies only to the first billing cycle.

2.3 Annual Subscriptions

  • Within 15 days of purchase: Full refund available upon request. The Academy's access will be revoked immediately upon refund.
  • After 15 days: No refunds for the unused portion of the annual subscription period.
  • Downgrades from annual to monthly plans take effect at the end of the current annual billing cycle.

2.4 Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade your subscription plan (e.g., from Pro to Essentials), the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the difference in plan pricing during the current cycle.

3. Student Coaching Fee Refunds

Important

Student coaching fees are set by the Academy, not by Durosport. The Platform acts as a technology facilitator for fee collection. The contractual relationship for coaching fees is between the Academy and the student/parent.

  • Refund requests for student coaching fees should be directed to the respective Academy.
  • Academies are responsible for defining and communicating their own fee refund policies to parents and students.
  • If an Academy approves a refund, Durosport will process it through Cashfree within 5–7 business days of receiving the Academy's authorisation.
  • If a parent/student has a dispute with an Academy regarding fees, they should first attempt to resolve it directly with the Academy. If unresolved, they may contact us at info@durosport.in for mediation assistance.

4. Tournament Entry Fee Refunds

  • Before tournament registration closes: Full refund available upon cancellation of registration.
  • After registration closes but before the tournament starts: 50% refund, subject to the tournament organiser's policy.
  • After the tournament has started: No refund available.
  • Tournament cancellation by organiser: Full refund will be processed automatically within 7–10 business days.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

Email us at info@durosport.in with the subject line “Refund Request”.

Include the following details

  • Your registered name and email address
  • Academy name (if applicable)
  • Payment reference number or transaction ID
  • Date of payment
  • Reason for the refund request

We review your request

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a decision within 7 business days.

Refund is processed

If approved, the refund will be credited to your original payment method within 5–10 business days via Cashfree Payments.

6. Refund Processing Details

  • Refund Method: All refunds will be credited to the original payment method (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet) used for the transaction.
  • Processing Time: 5–10 business days from approval, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Currency: All refunds are processed in Indian Rupees (INR).
  • GST: If GST was charged on the original transaction, the GST component will also be refunded. A credit note will be issued for accounting purposes.
  • Payment Gateway Charges: In the case of a full refund, any payment gateway processing charges may be deducted at our discretion, unless the refund is due to a service failure on our part.

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Monthly subscription fees after the 7-day cooling-off period (first cycle only).
  • Annual subscription fees after 15 days from the date of purchase.
  • Tournament entry fees after the tournament has started.
  • Marketplace purchases of physical goods that have been delivered and used (if applicable in future).
  • Any charges arising from violation of our Terms of Service, including account termination due to misuse.

8. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe a payment was charged incorrectly or without your authorisation, please contact us at info@durosport.in before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We will investigate and resolve the issue within 7 business days. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is under review.

9. Failed & Duplicate Payments

  • Failed Payments: If a payment attempt fails but the amount is debited from your account, please wait 48 hours for an automatic reversal by your bank. If the amount is not reversed within 5 business days, contact us with your transaction details for manual investigation.
  • Duplicate Payments: If you are charged twice for the same transaction, the duplicate amount will be refunded automatically within 5–7 business days once identified. If not, contact us with both transaction IDs.

10. Grievance Redressal

If you are unsatisfied with our response to your refund request, you may escalate the matter:

  • Consumer Forum: You may file a complaint with the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
  • Payment Disputes: For issues with the payment processing itself, you may also contact Cashfree Payments directly through their support channels.
